It's 55 mm long and 35 mm wide. It sort of looks like an animal too.

It may be big, however, it looks rather ugly to me, sorry!

DK :)

The colors on it are great! This one was made to have a little bit extra to lead the mind....

How about more views of it?

To me it looks like a dessert confection -- a meringue! (Chomp.)

I haven't taken any other shots of it yet, but I do see an animal in there. There is something about the shape.

Haha, it really does look like a shmoo  Beautiful Pearl Jeremy! I like the idea on your blog post about making it into a brooch.

Very nice! It's looks a smurf/knome/bunny rabbit :D You can see a little orient in it too. Just lovely!

Poor oyster (or whatever). It must have been seriously constipated!

Looks like a deformed Nessie, the infamous creature that allegedly lives in Loch Ness in Scotland!

DK :D

I love it! I am not sure if I see an animal, but I like the sound of an opalescent baby hippo.

What will you do with this?

Funny, DK.... Loch Ness was my first thought too! Kind of cute :)

Or a deformed newly hatched chick, like the one I saw splattered on the ground the other day, dead.

DK :p

Would be great as a very long pendant, the cord has to be matched with care something like blackened metal

I vote for a pendant, too! Or a brooch/pendant combo. On a neck wire or omega, the weight would be balanced on the neck for comfort and also not look like the pearl was weighing heavily on a chain. Although I agree with Anna, on a very long chain the pearl would be splendid!

It will be fun to see what you and Hisano create with it!
