Not sure what type of pearls....

HI, my sister lived in China for a few years and brought back some pearl necklaces, and I was just wonder what type these are and what they'd be worth? It is stamped 925....thanks

Hi Joey,

First off Welcome to the list.

With the Photos you have which are a little Blurry & out of focus. Unable to see details very well. They Look like Fresh water pearls, with a silver clasp. Value?? I'd say more sentimental than anything. A "family heirloom piece" to hand down to the next generation.

Would you be able to find out more about the Piece & take clearer photos including close ups & Post them???

Welcome! Ash got it right, I think, Chinese freshwater pearls, nugget shape. What's great about them is they are tissue nucleated, with just a tiny piece of donor tissue, and as such are all nacre. I love the coin clasp, haven't seen that before, you probably can wear it in front too, for a more casual look. The multi strand necklace is right in style now. (Not certain it was ever out of style!)

The 925 stamp on the clasp is the mark for sterling silver. Pretty necklace.
