Last year, I decided to treat myself to an SoC mabe pearl. I told myself, this caps my pearl collection.
How often have we told ourselves that?
Anyway, I have since fallen in love with mabes and blister pearls. After Douglas told me that he had SoCs that were not on display at Perlasshop.com, we started a correspondence that led to this:
That blister pearl at the bottom caught my eye. Douglas says that the "coppery blue" blisters and mabes come along every 5-7 years, so I decided not to wait that long for another specimen.
Here it is up close.
It will be in my hands by next weekend. Cannot. Wait.
