I will be attending the "Sustainable Pearls" conference in Hong Kong next month (June 21st) as a panelist, amongst many excellent pearling professionals such as Jacques-Christophe Branellec, Laurent Cartier, Saleem Ali, Gaetano Cavalieri, Robert Wan, Kent Carpenter, Andy Hart, James Paspaley, Shigeru Akamatsu, Julie Nash, Fiona Solomon, Michael Krzemminicki, Louisa Ho and -I'm not forgetting!- our friend Josh Humbert!
This conference will -I believe- have a tremendous impact on the Pearl Farming industry and hopefully it will impact the market for "Green/Eco/Sustainable Pearls". If you have a chance to attend please do so.
WONDERFUL!!! Sustainability is a necessity and not a luxury. Glad that there are those involved in pearling who appreciate its importance. Please do post a link if the session is recorded.
I've not had the pleasure of meeting Douglas or Josh yet, but their pearls and stories are compelling ... congratulations to both, and to those lucky enough to attend this event in Hong Kong. I hope to meet their pearls in the future
