I've just won this what do you guys think of it? I want to set it in a stick pin, so I could use some help locating a finding. Would any of you guys know where I could find something like this? I've not been able to find anything so far.

The word luscious comes to mind again. I had to look for the enlarged photo to really drool. However it ends up, you will rock that pearl! :)
 
Thanks guys, I think I got it for a fairly good price as well. I might try auctions more often.

I'd prefer silver as gold would cost a lot more. If possible I'd prefer argentium silver over stirling though.
 
I've just picked this little beauty up from the post office. It looks round to my eye and it has a very beautiful silky luster. I can't wait to get it into a setting. I'd love to get a round tahitian next.
 
Bit of an update on this. I was able to make a pin from scratch today at work. It's 9K gold, I think the lighter tone of the gold goes better with the light colour of the pearl. I'm just letting the epoxy harden and I will take some photos.
