Here ares photos of my special and fun pearls the first set of photos are my special pearls and the second lot of photos are my fun pearls. The Tahitian earrings are set in 18ct gold and are 11.5mm and 12mm. the bracelet is a 7mm and Hanadama, the Baroque akoya necklace is 9.5 to 10mm.

The fun pearls are 11/12 mm freshwaters with some lustre, the keshi I am not sure what kind of Keshi's they are but this was a loose strand, that I strung myself (it was my 1 and only attempt at stringing pearls and I have strung it too loose, although it looks kind of nice loosely strung like this.). The stud earrings are Freshadama earrings from Pearl Paradise.

I hope you enjoy looking at these, I have also posted some pictures of other things I have in the What pearls do I have forum.

Really beautiful, Johanna. You have a really nice collection! As a word of warning however, once you start stringing your own, it can be hard to stop...

I know I want to have a go at string a nicer necklace with large round pearls this hopefully be easier than stringing these keshi's. Does anyone know what type of Keshi's these are.

I can see why you want to share! That bracelet is out of sight beautiful. The earrings are unique and classy, and I love the keshi loose strung. I used to do that on purpose way back when I did beads. The keshi are so lustrous, I assumed they were the akoya ones until Pattye said freshwater. Whatever they are, they are about as pearly as its gets with the orient and luster!

Welcome to the world of pearls. You have a great beginning and if you hang around here, you will REALLY learn how to lust after pearls;)

Thank you for the photos, especially the WOW factor for the Tahitian earrings closeup! Lovely, lovely Pretties.

I had assumed they were akoya keshi too. Whatever they are, they are very lustrous!

Lovely pearls and such clear photos, Thanks for sharing. Agree with Pattye, Chinese freshwater keshi due to the size and shape :)

Hi all thank you for your responses and your welcome to the forum. That was so fast to get my answer on the Keshi's they are pretty and change colours dependant on the light some of them look grey in certain lights. I am already hooked on pearls and am trying to collect all kinds of them, I do also love wearing pearls of all kinds. I also have a lovely sea of cortez mabe pearl pendant that I brought from Druzy on e-bay. I didn't know anything about all the different kind of pearls that are around, until I began reading this forum. I now will only try to buy pearls from people recommended on this forum. I am hooked on pearls they're so scrummy and I love looking at pictures of pearls. The only problem is as I work in the public sector I do not receive a great salary and my tastes in pearls are too expensive for my pocket and I have to do a lot of saving to be able to buy them. I have loked at Patricia's designs on Etsy and they are all beautiful. I hope to buy something from her soon when I have managed to save some money after the expense of Christmas.

Once again thank you all for your comments.

I hear you! I also need to save up to buy my pearls...and sometimes they are combination gifts (my last strand was for Christmas + my upcoming birthday.)

Johanna,

The Sea of Cortez pearls are amazing, aren't they! I have Cortez and more purchased from Druzy also. Carolyn is a member here, but doesn't post, although I think she reads the forum sometimes. Thank you for the lovely compliment; we all seem to purchase from each other at times, and I've purchased from too many to even begin to name! My most treasured pearls are not necessarily the most expensive ones.
