Mussels take a dive in West Tennessee river towns

Loss of work in these times is not good, but considering the sinister repercussions of the high-rolling years (and whenever a pile of easy money and humans coincide) it doesn't seem so bad that those molluscs get a break. Given developments in beadless saltwater (not to mention CFWP?and conch!) looks like it's going to be a long one.

For a time, they were seriously over-harvested, so it seems like a welcome break for the mussel population. It's sad for the industry, though.
