Mississippi River Pearl Ring

Hi all from Wisconsin

My Mom was digging through her stuff and found a bunch more goodies...including this Mississippi River pearl ring with a large pearl.

Nadine Leo has told me the ring is hand-made

Love this ring and the Mississippi Pearl! Back in the days when gold was much less expensive, the mountings were more lavish.

I believe the metal is silver but this has no mark that I can see. Here's a better pic

The ring is reflecting the brown of the stick. I wondered too, which metal it was when I saw the photo. I'd love to see a white background photo so we can see the pearl color better - maybe thread a facial tissue through the ring to hide the stick or just put a paper towel through it to stand it up and set it on another white paper towel?
