Mikimoto Brooch with Pearls

Hi,
Can anyone direct me to where I can determine the value of this brooch? It belonged to my great-aunt, and since I have no use for it, I would like to sell it. I hate the thought of selling it for scrap gold value as it is in good condition and could be enjoyed as it is. I still have the box that it came in. Thanks, Gary

Trying plugging into an Ebay search for Mikimoto pearls, and brooch. If there are any, go to completed listings, shown in small print at the top of the search. The green listings are what something actually sold for, not the asking prices.

There are Mikimoto brooches for sale on ebay (some might not be real) but also on RubyLane (more likely to be genuine). Just put" Mikimoto pin" in the search box. You can get ideas there on prices.

I did do that. Mikimoto pins have sold for between $55.00 and 255.00 with only 2-3 pieces selling for more than that.

Historically Mikimoto brand name has not come anywhere close to Cartier (sp), Tiffany. I've come across Mikimoto pins for years and they are now made in Spain with the Mikimoto logo. Not measure up to the advertising. Sorry.
