I'm a new member here, new to pearls, and searching for something particular I want to have fitted into a ring.

I've been hunting for a Tahitian pearl mounted in a low simple setting of platinum for an engagement ring. I've decided that a custom setting made by a jeweler here in town would be the best bet, but that still leaves me with the search for the pearl. I stumbled on the lot of 25 Tahitian Keshi pearls Pearl Paradise offers and we both like the idea of her picking from the bunch for a unique pearl and using the rest for misc jewelry.

I'm just worried putting my faith in a random picked lot and hoping for a few that would fit a ring.

What's everyone think about putting a Keshi in a ring? I've read up on Keshi's a little bit, but I'm definitely not an expert. Any feedback and thoughts you can all give would be great.

Thanks,
Aaron

Hi Aaron. There are a lot of Tahitian keshis that would make great rings. Most will tend to off-round or elongated shapes. I think it is a great idea. I would google Tahitian keshi platinum to see what comes up.....

Aaron good luck to you.

Others reading this thread,I am just wondering if you ever have had baroque/keshi pearls set with diamonds in rings before? I am seriously contemplating a setting like that but cannot afford to make a mistake. I am wondering how it will all turn out? I couldn't find many on Etsy and ebay. Could anyone post a picture? Appreciated.

Hello RedMercuryVII

Pretty out there name you've chosen.

First of all, You decide what size Keshi you'd like for the ring and go from there.

Understand that most Keshi's are hollow, so ensure your jeweller actually encases the pearl into the ring.

The thought of a Tahitian Kehsi in platinum has some awesome pictures going on in my head.

Adeline, They work fantastically, at least you know it will cost but be totally worth it.

Keshi's are a treat in rings. Actually Keshi's are coll in any form of jewellery.
