Hello, I bought this set for 7000 peso in Puerto Princesa souvenir market near the airport. They were said to be South Sea Pearl and they were the ones with the least imperfections I could find in that market. The metal parts are stainless steel or sth, not silver nor white gold, and I've accepted that. Was this set real South Sea Pearl and was it worth the price?

That would be about US $121. I'm sorry but I can't see how you would get south sea pearls for that price.
The blemish also doesn't look like SSP to me. I think freshwaters is more likely, but I'm interested to know what others think.

TeaVu, I agree with Pearl Dreams, your souvenir pearls are genuine cultured freshwater pearls from China. Sadly, we've heard many stories of freshwater pearls being misrepresented as South Sea. So what you paid is ok for what you have. Enjoy!

Right-- they are real pearls, just not south sea.
