hi everyone :)
i sure could use some help...

unfortunately, the time has come to sell my grandmother's pearls. i have no documention about them. we think she aquired them in the 60's or 70's. i'm almost positive they are real. they are smooth to touch and rough on my teeth. the necklace is 24" long and the individual pearls are approx 5mm. there are some subtle irregularities like size and shape.

i'd like to know what i might be sitting on. i don't want to price them too high and certainly not too low. i can't afford an appraisal right now so best guesses are welcome :)

thanks so much!!!

Welcome, sUz,

Are you able to see any markings on the clasp or the insert such as 14k or 18k[? Does it look like at one time this might have been a double strand of pearls? Please if possible, another couple photos more close up showing more pearls, and on white paper towel. Thanks very much.
