Thank you for sharing these incredibly beautiful pieces with us!

I love golden pearls and the Jewelmer story is a triumph of will over adversity.

I'm convinced that in 100 years Jewelmer will still be the Mikimoto of Golden Pearls.

Fascinating that they're positioning their 2014 collection as "Joaillerie".

I've just finished re-reading the Christies book "Art Nouveau". In Chapter Two on jewellery (pg 42f) the Christies authors explain the difference in the late C19th between "Joaillerie" (fine jewellery) as practised by Boucheron and Cartier, where the finished product was measured by the weight of the precious gemstones such as diamonds that comprised it, versus "Bijouterie" work in semi-precious stones, such as the jewellery of Lalique, measured by the artistic merit of the composition, with less regard to the cost of the ingredients.

(The above is my paraphrase of the difference between "Joaillerie" and "Bijouterie").

When I look at the Jewelmer 2014 collection I see "Joaillerie", just as they describe their collection.

Yes, it would have been splendid to be there. But the photos are fabulous, thanks. :)

Thank you for your kind words! We hope that little by little more of the world will discover the magic of pearls!
