I inherited these from my Grandmother, and unfortunately I have no history on them at all, no information! I would like to get the restrung as they have a lot of sentimental value. I'm very interested in what sort of pearls they are, I've tested the 'grittiness' and had a few other people do it too. They definitely feel like real pearls, and also they are pretty heavy.
They each measure roughly 4-5mm. Double stranded. I tried to count and theres roughly 350 of them. The hallmark on the back of the clasp says SILVER in capitals and inside a small rectangle. The clasp is pretty tarnished but I think it is real silver.
