I found this on the beach in Praiano, Italy

Hello,
I am new to this site. I found this while sitting on the beach amongst the rocks on shore while in the Almalfi coast . It has holes on each side . Could anyone tell me what they think this may be ? Thank you so much !

It looks like a drilled baroque pearl, probably freshwater as there is no bead nucleus to make it round.
