How to find a natural pearl in 40 seconds or less.

It was a nice sunny day, so I thought I'd take the GoPro camera out to the reef. I turned on the camera, picked a random mussel, shucked it open and there it was in plain view.

A nice butter colored, 6.4mm, off-round pearl.

Mikeyy suggested I take my GoPro gold panning next time.

Is that the photo for receiving the award? I'm not sure why they put a photo in the book, a mention of my name would've been more than enough.

Not sure what image that would be. I furnished Blaire with a few macros and SEMs for her talk while she was in Vancouver last year.
