I can't see the gold embellishments in that photo. Are they gold colored or or gold filled or carat weight gold?
I wish there were a couple more photos and on a dull white background, but from what I can see, it is a torsade of pearls that look like the rice crispy pearls of the early years in Chinese freshwater pearl culture. Probably around the 1980's. I used to buy strands of those retail in the 1980's for $1-$3 in bead stores. So they aren't worth a lot of money, but they are pretty pearls because they tend to be iridescent.
I guess that necklace to be about a five strander? It probably cost $50.00 in a retail store back then. I have no clue what it would sell for second hand- maybe $10-20? If there are any on eBay, anymore.
Even though it is not valuable, that necklace would add a lot of style to any outfit. It will always look like it is worth more than it is.
