Hi, I purchased these Tahitian pearls from a vintage jewellery shop with the Mikimoto ball clasp stating "patent pending", shop owner says they're around 20yrs old but still in good condition. Grateful if anyone can share about the "history" of this Mikimoto clasp? The new designs all have 1893 engraved with Mikimoto on outside and patent number. Thanks, Lee
