I am looking for some assistance in identifying the type of pearl necklace that I have as well as the size of the pearl. Are they freshwater or Akoya? I bought the necklace at auction. When I went to the jewelers to pick up a few things I took the necklace with me. I asked if the pearls were real and she said yes. She didn't give me any other details and I didn't want to bother as they were very busy at the time. They do feel gritty when rubbed together. The necklace is hand knotted, 18 1/8" long with 14K gold clasp and 12.3g weight. Thank you advance for your expertise and time.
