I want a 48 inch endless strand of lavender pearls. These are AA+, 7.5-8.0 mm. I can't tell the two choices apart much or really tell how light they are (I'm not good at telling from photos). Other suggestions welcome, too. I am hoping for a dark strand that goes well with black and grey. Do you think these will look dark in person? Thanks!

The strand on the right is a cooler shade. Would you prefer a cooler shade to match the coolness of black and gray, or a warmer shade to contrast with it, liven it up?

I don't think they are very dark. Nor very pastel. Somewhere in between.

I think I like warmer better in itself but then I think I like cooler better against the black and grey. He has some darker ones but not enough to make a 48 inch strand. Hmm...

If it helps, I've seen cooler lavender strands that have greenish overtones and warmer ones that have coppery overtones. I think I see some greenish overtones in the photo on the right.

I like the cooler strands on the right to wear with black and gray. they look more lavender to me, too. Whereas the strand on the left moves toward pink

Blonde/blue eyes, more bright whites than cream, and I probably wear more pink/blue than yellow/green. :)

I have cool skin undertones and prefer cool colored clothes, but let me tell you what I have found with fwp: the cool lavenders look blah against my skin. Just blah. The warmer colors, instead, come alive.

Given your preference for the warmer ones on the left, and what you have said of your hair and eyes, I vote for the ones on the left.

Thanks, everyone. I think I will go with the more pink tone on the left. I'll post a picture when I get them. :)

I have a triple lavender strand and I was going to say go for the one on the right -- but either will be gorgeous! Be prepared for many shades of lavender within your rope. I see blues/pinks/browns in mine. They are lovely pearls with such a nice, subtle variety of shades. Mine are also AAA 7.5 to 8 mm. I wore them just the other day. I look forward to your neck shots!

BAS, yours are so pretty they look dyed!

Oops, I should have said 7.0-8.0, not 7.5 to 8.0. I just got the AA+ grade because I don't really notice the irregularities on smaller pearls in a rope.

BAS- yours are a lovely shade of lavender!! Although I am a pink lover (obviously-lol) I have found that with my skin tone I can't wear the color of the more pink ones like the strand that sea urchin has chosen. They just blend right into my skin. I do really love the more lavender shades!! Sea Urchin, I look forward to your neck shots to see how the pinker pearls look on you

If the pearl options in the photos are AA+, they look great!

I know, isn't the color great? Hard to believe it's not only a natural color, it's pure nacre, too!

BTW, I didn't know that I could ask for the color I wanted when I ordered (pinker versus bluer, lighter versus darker). I'm happy with what I ended up receiving, though!

I think you be happy with the ones you chose.

I've got two 100" strands of pink, one cool pink (your right hand choice) and one slightly warmer. I always reach for the warmer, get a good lot of positive comments. Never worn the cooler strand.

you're getting lots of good advice, and moving fast! No wonder you're a bit tired. You can rest tomorrow, or next week, right?

What!?! Those are lavendar? I thought they were pink!

No, the ones you were looking at. Hooooo, there goes my credibility. Well, you chose well, anyway, and as long as PP knows you want a colorful standout against black, you're good to go.

Here are a few shots, not the best but maybe tomorrow I'll do a neck shot. I think these will go with my winter darks and my summer lights. Very pleased. :)

Also, for reference, the bottom pic is on a beige towel, not white.
