Help identifying grandmother's pearls

Hello! I'm new here but I was hoping you all could help me narrow down what kind of pearls I've inherited from my Grandmother. They were purchased from Miss Jackson's, an upscale jeweler and department store, sometime in the mid to late 70's. They have some grit when you touch them like a fine nail file. They are all little over 1/4 inch (6.25mm) in diameter and each pearl in the strand is individually knotted. But that's where my knowledge ends. But that's where my knowledge and and I'd be grateful to an insight the community here could provide. Thank you for your time.

It appears to be a nice strand of cultured akoya pearls.
Is there a metal mark anywhere on the clasp? Sometimes it's on the tongue of the clasp.

The clasp definitely looks like gold and diamonds. The cultured Akoya pearls are very pretty!
