Hello all, glad I found this forum. Need help identifying these. I've checked the sticky post and they definitely felt gritty. I took this photo using a homemade lightbox.

Hi anwar777,

You have cultured Chinese freshwater bead-nucleated pearls.

Thank you so much Pearl Dreams, oh well... bought it from a roadside jeweller with zero knowledge on pearls just to impressed someone. Lesson learned .

The setting is so unusual. What is it meant to be, I wonder?

It's a bracelet/bangle.

Not so sure, they just might be south sea really baroques. (V slim chance) What is the metal?

The seller told me they were saltwater pearls and I naively just accepted that haha. The metal is made of 10-14K gold.

There is a faint possibility that they are south sea - I got some a bit like these in my last HK trip and called them pokemon pearls because some of them reminded me of pokemons (!) The pearl at 4-to 5cm especially with those bubbly bumps. And the satin lustre. can you take some more photos.
Is the metal a mix of 10 and 14 carat gold, not sure what you mean. It does look at least part handmade, with those wire cages for the pearls
