and yup i really loved doing this
now i got a small issue
they seem to annoy my goiter .....i'm going to see if i can get used to them
i was going to give these to my curator before my first show
but now i am thinking, i'll wait until a month or so before the show and get rounder ones for her
these are cheap freshwaters from wen....

now....even though yous all told me, and even though i read through the threads and articles of weight in pearls
i was SHOCKED at how much they do weigh
*telling someone isn't quite the same as someone experiencing it for themselves*

and yup i am hooked so i really need to figure out how to get used to the weight

i'm going to try to increase the time a bit every day....
i have a stone necklace i wear often and it doesn't bother me at all
i'm wondering if i would do better with small 5-6mm pearls at the back and only a few of the larger ones at the front

Wonderful job! I find that a slightly longer strand is more tolerable than a shorter one...for me it's not the weight, rather the tightness of the strand against my neck.

this hangs down, at about 21-22 inches but it's just one side that is bugging me..i am doing a bit better today with it
i'm going to be taking it off shortly though.....tomorrow longer
i have leftovers so maybe a tin cup, if i can find one of my broken chains

close is a better description of what's going on with this....it's not tight but it hangs close
next time i have pearls to knot i'm going to see about much smaller at the back/sides and only a few large at the front and see how that is
