GSS as gift, are they real?

Hi,

My husband gave me a these as a gift. He said the vendor who sold it to him, a friend who sells jewelry, said they were real golden south seas. I would really appreciate any thoughts. Thanks so much.

They could be. How about another photo on a white background, like a paper towel? Right now they are a little out of focus. Move away or try a macro setting. Sometimes it helps to take it farther away and then crop it to a closeup. Indirect natural light is best. Good for a first photo.
