Gray pearl and diamond pendant - what kind of pearl is it?

Hi - I bought this necklace about 4 years ago off ebay. I fell in love with the design of the diamonds and have never known what kind of pearl it is. It is not a perfect as it appears in the photo. It's approx. 11mm and the pendant is marked 14k.

PS: I posted a long necklace yesterday and haven't gotten any responses yet, please let me know if you have an idea what those pearls are too. Thank you!
