Grading System for Abalone Pearls

I have very slowly been attempting to put together a grading system that would allow for at least some objectivity in the evaluation of naturally formed Abalone pearls, specifically mabe's. (I've been using a simple formula to calculate the height to width dome ratio, for instance.) If anyone else on the PG is interested in working on this with me or has input to share, then please let me know.
