Found these 2 South Sea button pearls of around 17 mm and that to do with them? White has a pinkish overtone.

Tried to make better pics but the camera remains visible in the pearls because of the luster.

These are VERY beautiful, Cees! I favor the lariat idea, with ombre yellow sapphire and diamond accents :)

With fine pearls that have reflective luster like these, do you know how to get the camera to not show in the pearls, Cees?

Cees, I have no idea! I was asking. There is a way, as I see it in some pictures. But I don't think we will get those who know to divulge, or am I wrong? ;)

Darn Jac..I thought you knew ! I found this on Photography web site.

To reduce reflections of the environment on the object we are photographing, we need to replace them with reflections from the light source. To do this, we need to know where to place the light.

We work out this positioning by placing the light at the same angle and position as the camera but on the ‘opposite side,’ like a mirror image. In the example, I set the lights at the same angle as the camera [45 degrees and pointing down] but on the opposite side."Photographing-Reflective-Objects-Reflection-Angle.jpg

I will try Katbran, but I use a tent and the sunshine here in Bangkok which is intense
