I found this pearl (see pics) in a restaurant raw oyester and am trying to find out if it has any value.
It was not cooked and was salt water. Good shape and almst perfectly round, but not perfect.
It has a clear/ black/ purple color to it. The picture does not do it justice. Its a neat momento if nothing else.
Can anyone here help me?

The restaurant said it was an oyster. Im not a connoisseur so I cannot be sure if they look and taste similar.

My apologies! I was looking at your first post with an iPhone but am now sitting down with a regular-size screen. I thought you might have found a quahog pearl, but that is not a pearl. That is some sort of glass or something.

Glass as in a marble? or glass as in the oyster created something but it has no value?
The reason I ask is either someone in this extremely busy restaurant went to great effort to plant this "glass" in an oyster to create a thrill for their patron or this was created by the oyster. Thanks for you help.

Glass as in a marble. Glass does get buffed down in sand, so it's possible that it somehow made it's way into the mollusk. But it isn't any sort of pearl.
