First of three necklace purchases: Nucleated pearls

I cannot believe I am 40 years old and do not own a strand of pearls. So, I ordered three. The first strand just arrived and it is the PP 9-11 mm graduated FWP 18 inch necklace. I really love it and convinced that this will be the one to keep.

I also just took a shower (no hair or makeup done) and put on the white sweater and pearls then went to my mother's house. She asked why was I so dressed up and asked if I was going out. The pearls definitely made the look.

The other two that are coming are the akoyas 9-9.5 mm and a large Edison metallic strand.

The pearls being different types and sizes will have different looks. My bet is you will love all three. Nothing wrong with that. There's many of us who have many white strands and wouldn't give any of them up

Here is a pic of them while at work today. It really dressed up my outfit today and looking forward to wearing an all black dressy outfit tomorrow with them. I am wearing them with a pair estate earrings from GOG that my DH bought for me recently. They were about $160 and asked on the other board what they think and the verdict was akoyas. I do know they are 8.5 mm.

Question: Are you supposed to wipe them down with a warm damp cloth after wearing?
