Favorite pearl studs

I love pearl studs and would like to see everyones favorites. Here are mine:

I am a failed pearlie - I am not very fond of pearl studs. The one I wear sometimes is boring: a small 6mm akoya.

I originally got my ears pierced because I saw a photo of Merrill Streep wearing pearl studs, back when she first became famous. I've since traded up to larger, better quality studs.

My pairs are both 9 mm. That's my earlobe limit. Black and White Tahitians from Kamoka on the left, and Hanadamas from PP on the right. I also opted for very large earrring backs. They're easier to handle and they make the studs sit up nice and high on the earlobe. No droop.





As much as I really love dangles and drops, there are some days I want something light and easy to wear. The B&W pair are my favorite. They go with absolutely everything. They match my blue akoyas and my Tahiatians and my mixed strands. They even look better with my Hanadama rope than the Hanadama studs do. They're just more interesting.

Charlotta, I love the ones in the top right of your first pictures the best. Are those all Tahitians in the first pic?

Morella, the studs in the first picture are all tahitians. Those you like I bought from Wendy at Pearlescence. They are pale green and pink with rings in them. Rather big, I think about 13 mm. Also cannot see your photos.
I love those mismatched studs Bweaves, I haven't found the right mismatched pair yet.
Lady_Disdain, I don't like dangly earrings that much. I have and use them, but usually goes with one of the studs in my photos.

Vintage Akoya. The teeny tinies and the gold flower Akoya are from Japan, and the coral from Hawaii.

I wear more dangles than studs because my hair is long, but sometimes only a stud will do. Here are some of mine....Tahitians...the smaller 8mm pair has 3 diamonds at the top, the other T is almost 11mm, & the Chocolate T's are 11-12mm if I remember correctly. I love the chocolates but don't get to wear them much since I don't have a strand or pendant to wear with them. For now, I'll wear them with yellow gold necklaces. I think they are dyed but not sure, I've had them for several years. They're great for Fall

Here is my only pair of Golden SS studs. They are a light shade of golden & I plan to get a deeper golden pair in the future. I do need to get some larger, wider backs for more stabilization of the pearls on my lobes.

I don't know if these would qualify as studs because they're sort of in between...White SS & diamonds. I absolutely adore these.

Thank you, Lady_Disdain! My parents brought the Akoya flowers back from Japan for me years ago. The gold flowers have lots of dimension and the Akoya have very pretty color and luster. They still look good considering they have been rolling around in a jewelry box with a lot of other things for all these years.

Thanks so much, 86C! I think you’ll love silver. I probably wear that color more than anything. Of course, I have dark hair, so that makes a difference, too...

Yes, with my long dark hair, the darker T's I have don't show up as well. That's probably why I wear dangles so much.
