Do I have a real Tahitian?

I bought a 1 pearl supposedly "Tahitian baroque pearl" for $15 in Hawaii. It is set in really cheap material so that should hardly add to the cost. For the price I paid for one baroque pearl should it be real? As well I did the tooth test and it seemed to be legit. It is definitely not manmade I am just not sure if it is a Tahitian I'm not sure what else it would be.

It could be a dyed freshwater pearl. If you bought it from a vendor that opens oysters to find a pearl inside, and sets the pearl for you, that is likely what it is.

If you can, please take a nice clear close-up photo of it without flash, against a white background such as a paper towel.
