Could these be the real thing..Paspaley Pearls?

I have just bought these from an online auction, police recovered jewellery, sight unseen. I know very little about pearls and dont have high expectations. I wont see them for a few days and am interested in member's initial opinions. Thanks.

The box looks like a fake. The tag line is not Paspaley and it doesn't line up. The pearls definitely aren't Paspaley. Unfortunately, you were scammed.

I hope you didn't pay much. They do look like cultured pearls.

I think you got a reasonable freshwater pearl necklace.
Police auctions here make no claims about what they are selling (http://www.bumblebeeauctions.co.uk/XcAPViewInCat.asp?ID=14) so it may be that you jumped to a wrong conclusion if your auction followed the same formula.
