Could these be blister pearls?

Yesterday I found this interesting shell piece at Myrtle Beach, North Carolina. Is it possible the black intrusions are blister pearls? Or if not, does anyone have any ideas what they might be? The intrusion that's on its own is about 11 mm. The last photo is what the back of the shell looks like. Thanks!
