I want natural color high luster rounds and keshi.

Does anyone know about Leispearls.com?

I bought the following temporary strung pearls to experiment with and found out pearl stringing is pretty fun. So I'd like to buy more. So where can I get nice quality without spending a fortune?

How much should I expect to pay for temp. strung strand of 8,9,10 mm high luster dark natural color round to near round freshwater pearls

These are tissue nucleated round-near round natural color. I bought a smaller dia strand to add to the larger pearls so create a longer necklace. This is about 22" long. An now I want to make more.

Hello, welcome!

You have some pretty pearls there! Took a quick look at the website you mention, and it seems to be the same company as Lei Family Jewelry-2 on ebay. I wish the photos were larger.
I have purchased a few things from the ebay site, The pearls are not top quality, but generally the prices are reasonable.

Paying via paypal gives you some protection. Good for you, learning to string already!

Hi
Where are you PearlLVR?
While we sellers ship worldwide it is easier for everyone if you shop local as it were.
It's hard to give a hard and fast price for those pearls you mention ..so much depends on quality and on local tax situation and stuff like that
(I note that you spell color with no u so you are probably in America somewhere)

I'm in Georgia and have no idea where to get unstrung pearls except online. Henrietta's pearl stringing book is excellent. :)

I didn't get those pearls from Lei Pearls but came across their website when looking to buy. How do you tell based off of a picture what you're looking at? Especially luster?

The pearls I bought have a metallic luster to them and I want more like this.

I don't need the rare of the rare, the pearls above are round to slightly off round and blemish free for the most part except a few have a blemish right next to the hole so it's not noticeable unless you're looking. So more like that would be good. Anything with high luster would be good.

As an online seller it would be inappropriate for me to advise on your question, but I do have a comment about LePearl.com. I don't know this company and this is the first I've ever heard of them, but taking photos from someone else's Website and logo stamping them and claiming copyright as their own speaks a great deal about their ethics and morals. Le Pearls deserves a two-thumbs down.

Interesting. Whi's website did they take them from? Just curious.

Good to know and I agree completely. If you have a product, why not use your product for your own website.

Some confustion ..www.Leispearl.com seems to be a low to medium general pearl supplier in Hong Kong and China. Lepearl.com I get as some sort of parking/merchanting website which also offers the domain for sale.

Which Georgia?

My posts have to be approved before they get posted so there is some lag time.

I bought those pearls on eBay for $130. (16 inches) The second smaller and more oval in shape strand were $40. (16 inches) And I have over half the strand left from that second strand. My mom wanted a longer necklace than what 16" would yield once knotted.

Only the first two. This catches all the spam bots before they are able to hit the forum with links. Now that you've posted twice, you won't see a lag.

Hi again
I'd say medium quality..but it is hard to tell because the photos are pretty bad! Unless the quality is a lot better some are expensive (the gold leafs for eg)
You probably need to wait to hear from caitlin or pattye for buying strands in the USA

I know there is a big Gem Show that sets up in GA a couple times a year. It is a big one, but I can't remember the name. There are people here from GA who have mentioned it. Sorry not to be of more help. but that will be the best place to stock up. Otherwise. Find something you want on eBay and post it for us to check over here. Some of us can go look at the pearls and the outfit and give our opinions.

Gem Shows are usually wholesale and need a resale license which is cheap and easy to get. The bead stores in local towns sell retail, and get their pealrs from the wholesale shows. I used to use bead stores a lot in between the shows.
