Bought supposedly Akoya pearls

Bought online at a discount ($350 instead of $1200), but they seem to be dull (tag says AA quality) and have all kinds of minor imperfections, including chipping). Are they even worth $350?

Terrible quality! The loss of nacre near the drill holes is bad...the pearls will not last. No way would I pay $350 for them.

Return them-- get a refund!

Thank you!!! I am not an expert by any means, this is my first attempt to get a decent strand for casual wear, but even I was surprised at the chipping. Luckily I can return them, they were from Saks Off 5th.

That's awful. Please check out Pearl Paradise. They will give you much better quality pearls online.

Those are not worth 350$ You should return them as they are very poor quality.
Don't buy pearls, generally, from departments store. There are any number of sellers that can find you a nice strand. Just be clear about your budget and what you would like to buy and you'll find out if it's doable.
