As part of Orange County, California?s Fashion Week, I attended FIDM's annual Fashion Museum Soiree on Saturday. Themed "Fabulous!", it was a private, ticketed event with a VIP reception area, refreshments and seating for the runway shows. The event benefitted the FIDM Museum Fashion Council, which hopes to acquire the Helen Larson Historic Fashion Collection. (Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising) http://fidmmuseum.org

It was still in the nineties when the event started, but attendees beat the heat with icy refreshments and a spot in the shade.
Commence Operation Pearl-Spotting!
Clearly, women are still loving the big pearl look. Not your typical "cotton pearls", these had a lovely texture and were worn with style.

This lovely lady is Director of the Library at FIDM, Kathy Bailon.

And rocking the fireball pearls was this OC resident?

This woman in red was the perfect model for Tahitian pearls?

Why not layer them up?
