Are these real freshwater pearls?

I bought two strands of freshwater pearls from Amazon. One has some peeling like issues and other has dull regions , like the place where the pearl is tied to string looks very dull and plastic like (last two pics). Would like some understanding of whether its normal to see these in 100% nacre freshwater pearls.

Yes, this can happen to solid nacre freshwater pearls. If they arrived this way, they are likely poorly processed, causing nacre issues. These are real pearls, they are just very low quality.
 
There are two different strands in the pic. Both the vendor claimed to be 100% nacre strands. The first four pics are for a white FWP strand . The last two pics 4119 and 4117 are for a multicolor strand. I added zoomed out pics here of both strands. Paid around 250$ for first strand and 200$ for the second one. Hope its worth the price!
