I found this strand with a 14k clasp . I identified the makers mark as Hagerstrom & Chapman. The seller doesn’t know what they are. I have poor photos ..The color leans toward silver blue, baroque pearls. 8EAD02D5-2BAE-4BE2-A379-A74A9A43B0AD.jpg74DA1877-CE47-410F-AAD8-2037537970E2.jpg8B14C38E-8E03-457C-8683-28D13FB405DA.jpgC3433C8B-2543-4388-B920-303125109402.jpg

They look like grey baroque akoyas to me. What is the size?

Thanks for your replies. I believe they would be about 10-11+mm. Is the color of grey akoyas general natural?

There seems to be a fine line between grey and blue akoyas... unless they are the stunning blues that I’ve seen here on the forum.

The silver-blue color is natural but it is not the color of the nacre.

As I understand it, what happens is this: In the process of implanting the nucleus some damage may happen to the gonad, which exudes a brown fluid that covers the nucleus. Nacre is laid down over that. Because of the way light is refracted through the nacre (which itself is transparent) the brown color appears bluer when the nacre is thick and browner when the nacre is thin.

Thanks for the information. Does anyone know about this company regarding the reputation of the pearls ? ( Hagerstrom and Chapman )
I have found some strands on eBay but not baroque pearls .
