I inherited this strand of small pink pearls from my mother. These pearls were bought in Japan about 1944-1945 and given to my mother by my Uncle, a pilot with the USMC during WWII. I've kept them in a satin lined box for the last 45 years and took them once, a few years ago, to a jewelry maker in San Francisco to have them restrung. He did not have any idea of what their value might be. I've called around trying to find someone local to look at them and have yet to find anyone to help. So, I'm hoping that someone here can help. I've taken several photos but I can take more if needed. Thanks to any and everyone that has some knowledge of their value. Cultured white pearls are in the last photo to give some idea of color comparison. The clasp is a screw-type.

It is very hard to tell anything from the photos. Please take again on a white paper towel, preferably in indirect daylight without flash. If you can get a close-up, even better. :)
Thanks!
