Antique Pearl Necklace Value??

Could someone please guide me towards the value of this necklace?
Handed down from wealthy relative.
Probably 100+ years old, maybe more.
Has been in vault for at least 50 years.
Label on box from J.T. Allen & co. jewlers out of Richmond Va.
29-30" long.

Please give us some additional photos. A close up of the clasp and description of any markings there. What size, at least approximately, are the pearls? We need some close up pics of a section of the pearls and photo of whole necklace. Also a photo of any blemishes on the pearls. Is the strand knotted? It doesn't appear to be from your photo. Please photograph the pearls against a white paper towel or something similar, as it helps us to evaluate the luster. I haven't seen a wooden box before, interesting.

So interesting! They're graduated. I dragged the photo into my iPhoto to enlarge it but I couldn't see knots, either.

I Googled and found that J. T. Allen & Co. was admitted to the Jewelers' Security Alliance in 1912:
