Hi everyone! I was able to find two circle link necklaces remarkably similar to the original one I used for the circled Tahitians. These are 24". This was also my first project where I drilled the pearls myself...and I must say, they came out beautifully (no broken pearls or injured body parts on me). I used a small stash of pearls I recently purchased from Jac (tight circled dark mix). Here are some before and after shots:

Wow this is gorgeous!! The pearls are beautiful, dark and rich yet so colourful. I love that purple one! The yellow gold links complement the pearls perfectly.

Thanks Pattye! I don't really know what I was afraid of with the drill, because it works beautifully. I drilled this batch at .8mm. I had to study up a bit on my geometry to drill these but once I figured out it's best to use a water based marker to tag your initial drill hole it was pretty straight forward. I was a bit nervous drilling that purple one, because of the very pointed (and beautiful) top it has.

Oh those pearls are gorgeous! And you drilled em yourself… Girl, you rock :)

JerseyPearl -- I am SO impressed! Drilling your own pearls! Brava! That's a lovely design.

BAS, now I want to "drill, baby drill" but in a good way! Something about safety glasses and power tools...maybe it's my mid-life crisis? But seriously, I am so happy I bought the drill. BTW, I had ordered a few freshwater pearls from Wen Pearls to "practice" with...not at all necessary. Especially since they have yet to arrive! I sacraficed a leftover pearl to practice on, and really one drill was all it took. You can definitely feel when the bit hits the shell nucleus. I'm using carbon drill bits and they go through like butter! And yes, my family thinks I have seriously lost my mind!

Jersey Pearl...WOW, those gold circle links work beautifully with those amazing circled Tahitians! The color of those pearls are stunning!!

Aww, thanks everyone! This necklace is for a friend to wear to her daughter's wedding. They are getting married at her home, and my friend is wearing a beautiful light teal blue sheath dress, very plain and fitted. She wanted a "soft statement" piece to wear, one that wouldn't take away from the bride, but still be noticed.

Yes. Using a marker to mark where to drill is vital otherwise sometimes you miss the right spot by eye.
With a very pointed tip i file off the tip flat because otherwise the drill bit can bend and break or at least the hole misses the exact line. Even if it bends only a little the two half holes will not line up properly.
Pearls will always find a way to keep you alert!

Gorgeous, JP! And amazing, now drilling your own pearls! Hat's off to you!

You continue to surprise me. I love the lacy look of the rings and those pearls POP!

I also love the look of the big gold rings with the circled drops. Wow! I'm impressed.

Wow, stunning pearls and great necklace! Super duper impressed that you know how to drill pearls.
