Conch Pearl, Diamond and Ruby Bracelet

Thank you,

GemGeek - You find the most amazing, one-of-a-kind pieces. I really appreciate you posting these beauties!

Two extraordinary pieces, I cannot imagine the price tag on these. Many thanks for the wonderful photographs, Blaire!

The gorgeous conch and moonstone necklace is especially fascinating in the luxury of design, to be worn long or doubled, but using simple moonstones for accent, and what appears to be artisan-style wire wrapping technique, though most likely 18K wire was used. Blaire, can you comment further on this?

I was wondering about the wire wrapping as well. The conch pearls are stunning, and worth a great deal. I'm surprised that they would be used in a wire wrapped necklace with little moonstones.

Perhaps someone loved that look, and money was no object?

These two photos were actually taken last year at Tucson. Imagine the self control it took to not post before I could ask which vendor was the owner, as the table was in between two booths. They are a collaboration.

Rawat Gems does estate jewelry and it is very possible that this is an antique necklace, but this style has recently become more popular and moonstones are clearly on the rise, which would confuse the issue. I'm voting antique, since they have spared no expense to make the stellar modern bracelet.

What do you think? :)

Blaire, Red and All,

Curious indeed! Def a consideration that this is an antique piece.

1. Perhaps a semi-temporary way to display and offer a try-on piece, as many women are concerned with how the pearls compliment their coloring.

2. Possibly wire wrapping is more valued as an optional, professional finish for fine gems in other cultures.

3. Gluing in end caps to finish these pearls might have been considered by the designer as more damaging to the pearls.

I will see if I can find out anything~

Nothing like free ld~so spoke with Neeraj (hope I got the name correct), very pleasant man with Rawat:

1. The beads between the conch are diamonds. "They have never made this design with moonstone."

2. The wire is platinum.

So it is not antique. No, I did not ask the price. I sent him a link to show that Rawat Jewelry was featured as Pearls of the Week.

Sorry about the mistaken ID. It was a year ago and I remembered them as diamonds, but all the blue flash in the photo made me reconsider. LOL. Now we know! Thanks, Pattye. :)

Adding the photo of the conch necklace to the thread.

Such gorgeous pearls.

I quite love the idea of moonstone with conch! lol And I didn't consider that those might be diamonds, because I would always choose moonstone.

Red, Yes, thanks very much for adding the glorious necklace photo, talk about an aspirational piece~
