I think that strand was around 275K from memory - it is done as a birthday celebration from Hello Kitty, I believe - saw it a couple of months ago, but haven't seen the tiara!!!

I thought the lab day was pretty woeful. It wasn't really the instructor's fault, either - this was the accepted level of knowledge, obviously. That said, I did learn a little - mostly about colour grading of Tahitians... can't say its something I have used since, but it was interesting...

I did write an article for the Australian Jeweller Magazine in November 2013... it is somewhere here on this site, too. There is another editorial next month for which a few other pearl suppliers here in Australia and I have contributed to as well... Gotta get the correct info out there!
