Happy to be here @CortezPearls . I'm still pretty new to trade and excited to learn more from here as well.

Increasing the purpleness of beaded freshwater pearls

The kind of support to dream of haha... But yeah it does make sense if it's "subsidized" by the government.

    Keshi pearl valuation

I appreciate the advice, I'll look into it. Given where we are located logistics would also be a challenge (midst of nowhere in Eastern Indonesia). But yes, the discussion by far give me some confidence to try. Thank you!

Increasing the purpleness of beaded freshwater pearls

The increase in the purple shells is really significant. Potential to optimize several characteristics is also very intriguing. Tho given the complexity and cost, I imagine it might not be feasible for a single farm operation to have the mean to conduct such rigorous broodstock selection with gs.

    Keshi pearl valuation

Everyday I learn something new. Quite a wild idea to pass of keshi as natural pearl, though I can understand the incentive behind such effort... I managed to find this paper that probably refer to the incident you mentioned, but I cannot find much on "how" to improve the keshi itself. I guess...

    Keshi pearl valuation

It would be very nice to do that. The lack of experience/knowledge and fear of losing money "online" is what held the family from attempting to set up such channel. I'll be sure to give it a look. It's nice to see the end products... Whoaa they're some beautiful keshis. The 10 years finding matching pieces totally worth it. The result is truly gorgeous.

    Keshi pearl valuation

Hmm, I suppose I can see the novelty but so far we're not trying to produce keshi. They remain byproduct from rejected grafting. But as they're here I suppose I want to know the proper price. This got me thinking, like what's the end product for keshi? I imagine they're not used much in jewelry...

    Keshi pearl valuation

These are some keshi pearl from family's pearl farm. I'm just curious if we're getting a good price for the keshi (or pearls in general). It's a small farm in Indonesia and mostly selling to middlemen in Lombok. So yeah, I'm wondering what would be a usual price for south sea keshi with these look?
