It's hard for me to tell.. definitely more smooth than gritty but it does have some grit to it. But could be from its just a kind of plastic coating or something. Has weight and a more heavy feel to it for sure.

I would like to find out as much as I can to determine the worth of my grandmas pearls. Any input is appreciated, thanks a lot!!
