Hello everyone, My jaw dropped on a recent visit to a popular pearl on line site. Absolutely beautiful pearls, seriously heart stopping. More info please.

I too went into a high end store and looked at their pearl selection for thousands of dollars and saw highly noticable pitting. The sales woman explained to me that the pitting is a sign that they were "real". There is so little pearl knowledge out there particularly in stores.

So beautiful! If only the farmers knew how much their efforts are appreciated.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not looking to buy pearls as an investment. I was just curious on the valuation of pearls. Does it lose value as soon as you drive it off the lot? Of course I will only buy pearls that I love.
