    My new Baroque-Keshi combo

This is such a nice forum. It is so gratifying to share excitment over a new necklace, post a pic and get such warm repleis so quickly. I enjoy reading real enthusiasm and gracious civility. We all love pearls here, but I will say members and Moderators of this forum seem to all be gems.:D Wendy

    My new Baroque-Keshi combo

I loved this 18' Honora strand because of the deep complementary colors. Gray baroques about 9mm and violet keshis in between, around 6.5 mm. A very soft look. I wore it with a gray sweater and got oodles of attention. Lucky me!

    My Hong Kong shopping

Lovely pics. You're a quick study for a first-timer providing attachments! You certainly showed great talent picking those beauties and I particularly enjoyed the photo angles that give such good perception of size and shape. Interesting to see the eye-level shots, not just the overheads. I...

    Where to restring in NYC?

I didn't think to photograph them while they were on a dirty string with a few gaps from the broken strand. No pics posted before restringjng and this thread was the first I put down on this forum. So even I can't remember how they looked two weeks ago when I gave them up for repair, which is...

    Where to restring in NYC?

Pattye, I haven't been back to that jeweler since I picked up the pearls on Thursday. It did not occur to me that they had cleaned them until I saw they looked different (if they actually are!). I don't get to that place much unless I need some repair work or a watch battery, etc., and I would...

    Where to restring in NYC?

Pearls back in my hands! Pearls back in my hands! I got my pearls back from where I left them to restring. I guess I'd have to say good news, not-so-good news. The good news was that the price quoted was quite accurate. The strand was $26 with a new clasp (the old clasp I supplied was damaged...

    Enchanted by these pastel keshis

No, they are Honora pearls I bought online without handling them first. I guess I was lucky they are so nice, but they were returnable so I thought the risk was low. I think this strand is part of Honora's so-called Private Reserve and this necklace is called "water lilies". I joined this site...

    My newish tahitian keshi

Truly lovely. I like the quiet color combo and the impressive size without looking extreme.. They look very fine around (what I presume is) your neck.

    Enchanted by these pastel keshis

I had to show these on the forum here. I am so smitten by this 18" strand. They are 9mm pastel keshis. I've worn them nearly every day since I got them two weeks ago. This is my first try at getting them captured on camera and posted here. Hope you all see what I see in them. ;)

    Where to restring in NYC?

I guess it's anticlimactic to answer my own thread (117 views and no one had anything to suggest!), but I thought it might help someone else, since I did resolve this issue. I brought the gray baroques (and also a 7 inch white pearl bracelet with a broken string and missing half the clasp) to...

Kink in strand of new pearls

All great ideas and I will trust the strand to straighten over time by wearing it. I will take steps suggested if that doesn't help. I am so glad that the consensus is that the knotting quality is good and that kinking is not uncommon and not a defect. MANY THANKS to all replies.

Kink in strand of new pearls

I bought an 18" strand of keshi pearls in pastel hues at an online resource. So I did not see this strand in my hands before the purchase. I am very enchanted with the look of them and feel I got what I paid for, meaning they were a satisfactory value. However, the strand is kinked, so they...

    Where to restring in NYC?

Hi new forum friends, This is my first post. I thoroughly searched within the forum first, to see if I could find an answer before asking something that may have been already addressed. No luck. I have a 20" strand of grey baroques that actually came apart as I tried to put it on. The string...
