I don't know if you'd call me a gentlemen of discerning taste, but don't like the clasp fully extended. However if the clasp was at the front, but set four pearls back, and complemented by Knotty's earrings, it would be a striking sight on any graceful lady.

I agree wholeheartedly, unbleached is the way to go.

Well Mausketeer, I wish you all the best, regardless of how you get this pearl drilled. However it will always be a lot more special if you drill it yourself. If you want the best job done on it then definitely go with Sarah at Kojima, but... oh... you do get attached to your pearls... and even...

I can't believe that price! :eek: I could buy half of pearlparadise's white south sea necklaces for that amount. Don't get me wrong, I love freshwater dearly, but I'd never pay that much!

The problem I have with Tahitians is that every time I fall head over heels for one necklace, I'll find a better one a week later. And it keeps happening again and again. So I sympathize with your indecision.

Very nice Slraep, enjoy your booby traps. On a duller note, couldn't they simply cover the mussel beds with a net, that when tampered with, sounded an alarm at the police station. Or have the beds watched?
