    Tahitians

I like the shape of both for different reasons, but I prefer the color of the first.

Have you ever peeled a pearl -We Have and look what we got

Unbelievable! Anybody want to go down there and buy a bunch of $5 pearls? That's the kind of experience I'd like to have!

    Chinese pearl bull

"the eyes look a little bit more like Cookie Monster from Sesame Street if he had terminal liver failure" Very funny Slraep, no but seriously, that is quite impressive, aside from the eyes ... :D chuckle... hm... hm... ....

    Pearl Paradise November Special

Iridesse you say, I hadn't noticed it before. Thanks for mentioning it, it gave me a delightful couple of minutes of browsing.

    Pearl Paradise November Special

I don't know if you'd call me a gentlemen of discerning taste, but don't like the clasp fully extended. However if the clasp was at the front, but set four pearls back, and complemented by Knotty's earrings, it would be a striking sight on any graceful lady.

    TPO natural colour akoya

I agree wholeheartedly, unbleached is the way to go.

    Pearls on Etsy

 Hmmm. I hadn't thought of that. Good point, but such a pity...

    The Heart of the Lagoon

 What a contrast! Both in size and color! Please tell us, will you be keeping it or will you be selling it? (If the latter, I bet most PGers will be at each others throats over this one. ;) Myself included.)

    Pink Graduated Strand

I'm sorry Raisondetre, I didn't take into consideration the purpose of the necklace or the circumstances. :o

    Black Gumballs

Simply out of curiosity, are we allowed to know what clasp you chose to complement such giants?

    Pearls from PearlDistributors.com

Nice to have someone else explain my absence from the forum. I'll just show you the last one I did today, hope it's OK, my eyes feel like they've closed and gone fishing.

    Pearls on Etsy

Fantastic! Actually this is the first I could see. All the others had expired. I was completely taken by the ORBIS. It may not be the best thing I've ever seen when compared logically, but this one's got a hook in my heart. :o Thank you, thank you, thank you, for the link.

    Pink Graduated Strand

Very impressive Raisondetre! I really hope you don't mind me saying so, but I can see a very marked difference between the lightest peach/pinks and the whites. Oh, pardon me, it's probably supposed to be that way. Getting back to Callire... you and the necklace look great together, literally...

    Drillers Remorse?

Well Mausketeer, I wish you all the best, regardless of how you get this pearl drilled. However it will always be a lot more special if you drill it yourself. If you want the best job done on it then definitely go with Sarah at Kojima, but... oh... you do get attached to your pearls... and even...

    Borsheim's...

I can't believe that price! I could buy half of pearlparadise's white south sea necklaces for that amount. Don't get me wrong, I love freshwater dearly, but I'd never pay that much!

    Tahitian Baroques

The problem I have with Tahitians is that every time I fall head over heels for one necklace, I'll find a better one a week later. And it keeps happening again and again. So I sympathize with your indecision.

Help needed: Pearls in poetry, literature...anything!

Here are some quotes I like. "Dive into the sea of thought, and find there pearls beyond price." Moses Ibn Ezra, Shirat Yisrael "Those are pearls that were his eyes: Nothing of him that doth fade But doth suffer a sea-change Into something rich and strange." William Shakespeare (1564 - 1616)...

    Really pathetic

Very nice Slraep, enjoy your booby traps. On a duller note, couldn't they simply cover the mussel beds with a net, that when tampered with, sounded an alarm at the police station. Or have the beds watched?

    Mustika Pearls

Awesome necklace! Although, I'd never thought of using invasive species as a source for jewelry. And thanks to you Knotty, I'll probably have nightmares about zebra mussels!

Matching an existing strand of Black Akoyas to make a double strand?

Can't see anything either. But I did like Gem Geek's link.
