Natural or Not Natural - Opinions Needed!

Thanks, Paul! All the pictures are fascinating- I thought that the keys to the parts of the chateau would be the necessary items. I also find it interesting that women were expected to read and write, in addition to beauty and sewing. The whistle seems just as important.

Prince Lorenzo de Medici - Pearl Necklace

I think the current necklace looks different from the original. Bigger pearls, longer strand, different balance to the piece. In the original, the enhancer is dominant, this one it is secondary. I wonder if she has had a pearl jeweler take a look at it, heh, heh, heh!

Prince Lorenzo de Medici - Pearl Necklace

Hey Andrea, we were at the same exhibit in Delaware! The Duponts put it on. It was one huge show, with different sections. That is one I would love to find the exhibit book for! I don't think there is getting over it. I was shocked at how tiny the waist was on the ceremonial dress for the...

    Dawn's Pearls

Dawn, They are quite beautiful. In the formal English riding attire, we use the pins that are designed to be worn horizontally, They go across the large, thick stock ties. Frequently they look like an over-size safety pin. The stock ties are very long and wrap around the neck many times. Out...

Arts & Crafts, Art Nouveau and Art Deco

Thank you, Paul! In looking at the backs, it seems that there is movement allowed in the design. Would this give the tremblent, (sp?) effect?
