    I thought it was great that the GIA is offering certificates and it's nice to know that they are at the same or higher standard that the PSL . I know what you mean Pearl Dreams about the various classifications Aurora etc... it seems like every time I look at IG there's yet another certificate...

    Certainly there are excellent pearls grown elsewhere . Australian pearls are expensive because the farming costs are astronomical.

    Well that was extremely lucky to have found the pearl !! I use the AronAlpha . As noted but sure to clean the peg really well and then wash it well to remove the solvent. I take a file and just rough it up a bit as well . I also take a drill bit ( or a needle) and just scratch the inside...
